complete randomness

i got my driver's liscense renewed the other day. they asked me if my height and weight were the same. i'm 5 months pregnant. i almost laughed when i said 'yes'. i won't be pregnant forever.

i was putting jake to bed a couple of weeks ago and out of the blue he says, 'i want jesus to be in my heart.' i said ok. he wanted me to ask for him, but i told him i couldn't, he had to ask for himself. we did the pray after me thing. for the next couple of days he asked me if jesus was still in his heart. i assured him that yes jesus was still in his heart and he won't ever leave.

caelyn looks super cute with her bangs. she wore her hair up in a pony tail for the first time since i cut them. so cute.

caelyn turned 8 on monday. she's received from us a pair of rain boots, paper dolls from lilly&thistle  (http://www.minimepaperdolls.com/), a couple of books and her very own bible. i'm decorated in hot pink, purple and lime green.

i'm 2 and 1 in my fantasy football league so far this year.

got a really funny letter in the mail from every day with rachael ray. and i quote (see the quotes?) "just a short note, as i know you must be busy. why do i think you're busy? you must be, because we haven't heard back from you. since you are a preferred every day with rachael ray subscriber, we sent you reminders to renew your subscription. most people find they enjoy every day with rachael ray so much they can't imagine life without it (LOL!!!).... surely the snyder household is among this group. so please take a few minutes now to ensure that you don't miss a single issue. please respond today!" this made me laugh out loud. for real. anyone want to guess when my subscription is up? ........feb 2012.

i finally figured out why jake calls our friend janelle 'miss janella'. one word:nutella. hahahaha

i love my nook. i love it a little too much. especially since i found a website that sends me links to free books. i've been reading a lot. my house has noticed.

i know i'm a little behind the times in this, but i'm really loving mumford and sons right now. a lot. a couple of my favorite lyrics from them: "love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you, it will set you free be more like the man you were made to be. There is a design, an alignment, a cry of my heart to see, the beauty of love as it was made to be"; "you say that’s exactly how this grace thing works. it’s not the long walk home that will change this heart, but the welcome I receive at the restart"; "and if your strife strikes at your sleep remember spring swaps snow for leaves"; "in these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. where you invest your love, you invest your life. awake my soul, awake my soul, awake my soul you were made to meet your maker."

isaiah was really impressed with how fast his math went just because he had a good attitude. seriously, it did make a huge difference.

jake told my dad that jesus was in his heart. my dad told jake that jesus was in his heart too. jake was pretty happy about that. then he told my dad that he wanted jesus to be in eveyone's heart. he asked me to ask jesus to be in everyone's heart. i told him couldn't do that, but we could pray ask jesus to help everyone want to aks jesus to come into their hearts. he wanted to do that. so we did. little evangelist?

caelyn really wants to be able to feel the baby move. apparently she remembers from when i was pregnant with jake.

jake keeps asking when it will be winter because that's when i told him the baby would be here.

i cut my blog following down by more than half. i hope the writers weren't offended. the ones who would notice anyway.  i was just wasting so much time reading because i didn't want to 'miss anything'. i left only my favorites on there.

i love fall.

i haven't been able to drink coffee since i got pregnant. well, coffee in the morning anyway. i've still liked caramel macchiatos, but in the afternoon or evening. regular coffee just doesn't taste good anymore right now. it's really a bummer because i really miss my morning cup of coffee.

i make a really good chicken corn chowder. like, really good.

i can't remember the last time i went to the grocery store. jeff makes regular trips. he's awesome. i still manage to get to target at least once a week.

some days i hate homeschooling.

i haven't decided how i feel about the new facebook. i have figured out how not see every single thing that every single friend comments on or likes.

i think it's really fun that all three of my kids have different colored eyes.

i wonder who this baby will look like. we have a girl who looks like jeff side of the family (his mom), and 2 boys who look like my side of the family (me and my dad). isaiah really reminds me of my brother.

isaiah is reading so well now. i taught them the sounds the letters make, but didn't push very hard on the reading side of things. just encouraged it as they showed interest. both caelyn and isaiah have basically taught themselves how to read. caelyn was reading by the time she was 5. she was reading little house on the prairie before she turned 6. isaiah just started really reading within the past month or so. like being able to sit down and read by himself (for the most part). it's really interesting to see how differently they learn and how they process and at what ages.

the last part of the first verse of john mark mcmillan's song 'love you swore' says, 'sometimes i am afraid'. the first part of the second verse (after the chorus) says, 'spare my body from the wolves, god, that crouch down at my door.' one day while riding in the car and listening to the song, jake asks, 'daddy, what is john mark afraid of?' pause 'is it the wolves?' we called jm and he assured us that he was not afraid of wolves. heehee

i've been thinking about dying my hair again. i haven't in lots of years. i don't know....

i finally caved and joined pinterest. i have not actually pinned anything yet.

i am officially out of my non maternity pants.

i love my family and really wish i love closer to them.

the hunger games trilogy was awesome. except for the 3rd book. yeah, not happy with that one. but the first 2 were great.

giant eagle produce sucks. (excuse my language, please) it's awful. i miss my parents' garden.

we have new tenants. i like them. they're the first tenants we've ever had that actually have a checking account. that's not why i like them though.

i put half and half in my hot chocolate.

i wish i could draw the pictures i see in my head. they're really cool. it's just too bad that my drawing ability does not equal my mind's eye.

my friend is moving away this weekend. i'm really going to miss her. a lot.

after telling jake (3yrs old) he wasn't allowed to 'glide' down the stairs (putting a blanket across his shoulders and down his arms, then holding his arms out and jumping off the stairs) he says, 'mom, i still love you, but i don't like you to ruin my fun. why do you ruin my fun?!'
