behind the lens: week 2 - a close up

                         i'm joining jenny in this behind the lens series. she has a great explanation here. 


this past weekend, the kids were having a blast playing outside with dad. isaiah came running in requesting me to come out with my camera.  i was shocked. he normally hates the camera. i get it out and he either goes running or hides his face or screams or makes nasty faces and so on. he wanted pictures of himself and jake, his younger brother, and his dad on the hammock. i said ok and off we went. i ended up spending probably 45 min to an hour out there alternately playing and taking photos. at one point i thought, why not do one of those turn the camera around and take a picture of yourself. now, normally, i really don't like the way these turn out. i just think i end up looking weird, but this time i actually thought it turned out ok.
